What's Happening Update Here's a look at what's been happening and what's coming up soon. - It's the start of a new year. Have you made your email resolutions for 2008? If not, there's still time. - If your company struggles with how to manage email programs across business units, you might want to read my January article in Target Marketing titled "Email Strategies for Corporate Governance ."
- Check out my article in the October issue of Target Marketing. It's titled Email on Steroids and looks at dynamic personalization and triggered messaging and contains several examples on how marketers put these techniques into practice.
- And, I've just put my latest article for Catalog Success online. In the October issue I address "Don't Let This Happen to You - Emails that Quickly get Deleted."
- At the Fall Direct Marketing Association conference I presented a session called "Email Direct Marketing Techniques that Will Make Your Direct Marketing Efforts Sing." If you would like a copy, just click here. Note that the file is almost 5MB.
- I'll be teaching two courses at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies this Spring. Each course is a 2-day session. The first is entitled "Email Marketing: The Complete Package". It will be held on Friday, February 29th and Saturday March 30th and it covers all the basics of email marketing. The second is entitled "Taking Your Email Program to the Next Level." It will be held on Friday, March 7th and Saturday, March 8th and covers more advanced email marketing.
If you're planning to attend the ACCM Conference in May for catalog, Internet and multichannel marketers in Florida, you might want to sign up for the Boot Camp on Email. I'll be presenting there. In addition to consulting with clients, I'll be conducting a private seminar for the Montana Governor's Conference on Travel and Tourism in April.
- And, in my spare time I'm involved with the Direct Marketing Club of New York. A professional organization for direct marketers in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area. I am President of the club for 2008.
